Natural vs. Non-Natural Dyeing

I'm totally new to this, in fact, I haven't even dyed any yarn yet but I have been reading up on it online and really want to try it! For those of you who have dyed yarn, what is your preference? Natural or non-natural? And what's your choices for each? Kool-aid? Acid? I sure would love any links to each if you have them...

Well, I guess I answered my own question by jumping right in and trying Gaywool dyes....going to try Koolaid too!
