Copying pattern

I have a baby blanket that my mom's friend crocheted for me when I was a baby. :hook I am making the same blanket just by looking at it. I was thinking about writing out the pattern and posting it online. :compute I don't know if this is legal though. :goodorbad I don't know where mom's friend got the pattern. :book Am I allowed to write it up? :shrug Thanks for your help!

this is the work of some one else.. so my answer to this would be no you cant write the pattern up and post it .. it would be an infringement
