LOL! Not quite what it sounds like ... I still haven't mastered going back and forth between yarn and thread, and I HATE doing swatches, so I decided to do "small" projects first thing in the morning to get my tension worked out. I didn't worry about it for awhile but this latest doily is for the OWNER of the company dh works for, so I'm even more paranoid that it come out perfect. Or as close as I can get it, lol.
I'm getting better - the lavendar one is - umm - wonky - but the red one - I love how that one came out. Editing to add - they are bookmarks. :)

I love them! Are they thin enough to use as book marks?

Those are beautiful! I love the cross is it from a pattern?
I don't think either looks wonky.

The cross is the "small cross" pattern from 3 Dozen and One Bookmarks. It's basically a loop of 7 ch, then a column of shells (2 dc, 2 sc, 2 dc) with a treble (or ch 4) on either side. The arms of the cross are the same thing, just done in the "space" created by the treble. If that makes any sense. :think
