HL 1/2 price books to get rid of their stock.

Dear Friends,

My Local Hobby Lobby in Crystal Lake, Illinois, has all their books in all their departments for 1/2 price. I found a book I wanted, but the cover was cut. I asked someone there and they said that they were getting rid of their books from their stores. She gave me the book for 2/3's off. Which was nice. :)

The lady said that they were getting rid of their little book sections in each department and going to have a section in the front of the store. I wonder if they will only carry Hardcovers, instead of all the little softcovers, pamphlets, and other books that they now presently carry.:(

It's a shame because I wait for their 1/2 price sales and I stock up on all the booklets that I can. :D

Maybe they don't make enough money selling their books for 1/2 price. I usually hold off buying a book unless I absolutely need it this minute until the sale. Maybe they want to sell more High Quality craftbooks but I think many people like me will shy away. They did have a great variety.:lol
We'll just wait and see what happens.:think

Let me know if any of the other Hobby Lobbys are doing the same thing.:rolleyes

If so, stock up while you can. Like I really NEED more books. I have tons already.

now this just could be "limited time" special~but yep they are on sale here in my area too!!

I did just pick up 1 on knitting~I would love to learn to do that. I have lots of crochet patterns!

I was just in Hobby Lobby this morning, but I didn't go to the section with the pattern books! I'll have to go back over there on Monday & see if they're on sale!

all the registers at mine say "ALL BOOKS 1/2 OFF UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!"

it may just be the end of the year sell it all so we don't have to count it and pay inventory tax on it sale.

This 1/2 off sale on all instruction books is still going on at my local HL. They had so many good books - even after all this time! I found one that I've been wanting for a while now. :yay You really should check it out if you're near a HL and collect pattern books like I do. :devil

I didn't notice this sale the last time I was at my Hobby Lobby last week, but their book selection has never been very large to begin with. However, the Hobby Lobby ad for this week says needlepoint books are 1/2 off. I did not see ads for other books.

Although I normally get most of my books from Michael's, I'll have to make a point to go back to Hobby Lobby soon and see about the books. Last time I was there, I saw one that I wanted but did not want to pay full price. I sure don't *need* any more books though.
