Hi, I am hoping someone can help me with this. I am trying to make a baby blanket for my nephew and I have not worked with rounds before. I have tried dozens of times to make this work but I can not seem to grasp how to do part of the stitch. Below are the instructions. I placed in bold the part I get stuck at. Thanks in advance for any help.

Rnd1 (right side): Ch 4, 2 dc in fourth ch from hook (3 skipped chs count as first dc), ch 1, (3 dc in same ch, ch 1) 3 times; join with slip st to first dc: 12 dc and 4 ch - 1 sps.

Rnd 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc, now and throughout), dc in next 2 dc, (dc, ch 3, dc) in next ch-1 sp, etc...

Can anyone make sense of this for me... I understand the shorthand on what it is saying but I do not understand the 3 dc in same ch. :eek

It means you should do 3 dc ch 1 in one stitch 3 times. 3dc ch 1, 3dc ch 1, 3 dc ch 1. So counting the first stitches you'd have 12 dc and 4 ch 1 spaces after you slip stitch to the beginning chain when you get around the circle.

Hope this helps

I think that actually makes sense now. Thank you so much. Sometimes it just takes another view or wording for things to click. I really appreciate the help.:cheer
