I was watching GMA the other days and they were talking about whats hot for 2006

and they showed these sweater boots

which I thought were pretty cute, I could probably get the shoe sole off of an old pair of shoes, the only thing I have to figure out is ...what kind of glue to stick the sole on the finished item?

I saw a pair of black high heel boots that were knit from the ankle up at my local Walmart...I didn't buy them but they were only about $25
They looked like a pump with a legwarmer.

I love those boots. They look so comfy. Do you think you could come up with a pattern? I am not good enough yet to do that, I don't think.

Its definately something I'm going to give a shot. I want a pair in tan or some kind of brown. I have to finish up some WIPs first. They're pretty cool because you can fold them down or wear them slouched or pull them up all the way.

1 to 1 1/2 ball aunt lydias dennim crochet
Sole from either and old pair of boots or from a shoe repair shop
1 1/2 - 2 hours to make both uppers
Hem tape the uppers then stitch the upper in to the sole (premake the holes with a hot needle, then spread shoe goo on the sole.)
put shoe glue on a sole insert and push it into place.
let it dry over night.
$100 bucks (I'll make my wife and daughter these since they would cost about 10 bucks for the materials.)
BTW what do they mean hand knit....that looks more like crochet sheeesh
