I saw an advertisment for some program, and the gal was putting a lot of money down on the table. Some guy said: That's a lot of money! And she responded: That's why it's called gambling and not crochet!!

:think sorry, I just don't get that one, but it was kind of weird.

That was queen latifah in her new movie and from seeing that commerical for the movie, in it she has only a few weeks to live or so she thinks, and she was saying that as crochet is not something that makes money? That is what I got out of it...


Why are people putting crochet down? Is it that we are really making a dent in society that they have to make fun of us?

i think she meant it like crochet is a safe thing to do where as gambling is risky not a put down at all

That's my take on it too. We won't know though for sure until we can see it in context in the movie, though, eh?

I really want to see that movie!
