Oh, those are so pretty! I have roving that I would like to try dyeing. Any tips?

Mostly just jump in and don't be afraid. You most likely WILL make a few mistakes at first and one batch will come out entirely putrid and/or muddy looking. I have one that, even spun, has little to no redeeming value. I can only hope that knit or crocheted up it will somehow have some worth. The last batches I made I pre-planned (where before I was kinda flying by the seat of my pants). I found a great color wheel tool here (http://www.visibone.com/colorlab/big.html) that helped me find color combos that I felt were pleasing.
