Is It Worth It?

I'm not trying to be nosy, but how much $$ do you get for selling a pattern? I realize it must vary depending who you sell it to and how complicated the pattern is, but I'm just curious if it's enough to make it worth the effort of peddling it to the buyers? Thank you!

I just looked into Crochet World, as I plan to send them a few designs. They pay anywhere from $50-400 for published designs. They have very strict guidelines and you need to request an editorial calendar. I'm not sure about other magazines.
