I felt like doing something different last night and came up with this. My daughter's teddy bear helped me and model. I also included a close-up.

I used a size I hook. The yarn was from a thrift store, but looks and feels like Red Heart. The skein didn't have it's wrapper on it. The purple is fun fur and I used a G hook to attach the fun fur to the scarf.
Scarf
ch 5, dc in 3rd chain from hook and then dc 3 more times. (4sts)
*ch 2 and turn, dc across the row (4sts). Repeat for 110 rows. 4 sts in each row. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Attach fun fur to one of the ends. The trick with edging with fun fur is to work from the back of the scarf, so that allows the fluffiest part on the right side. Sc the fun fur on the edges of the scarf all the way around. Weave in ends. Finger fluff the wrong side of the scarf to fluff out the fun fur.
