Does anyone have a pattern for a similar shrug?

Old Navy Shrug (http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=10018&pid=361234)

This is the new shrug from Old Navy. I LOVE it, but couldn't bring myself to buy something I could make with a pattern! (Oh, and by the way, they have this titled as being crochet-knit:lol )

I don't have a pattern, but the reason they call it crochet knit is because that is exactly what it is. The open weave areas are crochet. The cabled sections are knit. It's what you would call a mixed media item.

How much experience do you have crocheting and knitting clothing items? You could piece this together by knitting the two cable bands, joining them with the central crochet mesh piece, then picking up and crocheting the curved bottom. Then, pick up and crochet the sleeves/back and shaped top. After that, do the body edging in one go and each sleeve edging on it's own. If you're comfortable making clothes and winging things, you can customize it to fit your proportions.

IMHO, one of the advantages of crocheted clothing is that you don't need a pattern - you can design as you go.
