Natalie Skip first st, dc in the back loop only of the next st, dc in the back loop only of the skipped sc, continue in pattern.

Thanks! I watched it on Stitch Guide but had a hard time telling what happens when you move on to the next stitch. They only show one X being made and it doesn't say anything about a ch-1 but I thought maybe! lol

I don't ch-1 between my x-stitches. I have a tutorial on that stitch here

If you like the look and it doesn't make your work bunch up, there's certainly nothing wrong with putting a ch-1 between stitches if you want to. I'm a firm believer in whatever works for you. :-)
