I am a teacher at an elementary school & each Friday, our 5th graders may attend a club. Clubs change every 9 weeks. I am the sponsor of a crochet club. My girls have made bookmarks, scrunchies, and are about to make wristbands. Friday is my last day with this group and a new group will begin on January 27. Do any of you have any more ideas of items we could make that involve sc, dc, and ch? Do any of you have any ideas for boys if any choose to join? (I have had several already ask.) Looking forward to some awesome ideas!

what about some of those mouse cat toys? you could make them and donate to your local animal shelter. so the kids would have a project AND do something for the community.

btw, i think it's awesome you're teaching kids to crochet!! my niece and nephew's school doesn't really have the funding or volunteers to have programs like that. it's nice to see it happen somewhere, though. good for you!! :cheer

What about hats? beanie hats are awesome and dont take too much knowledge to learn how to do them...or slippers, do rows of double crochet or single and make it so that you sew the top, back and front toe, and you have simple easy slippers...even without much experience they work up quickly
