Hop this is the right place for this. I want to make myself a pair of gloves, but the problem is that most crochet gloves are rather thick and stiff. I live in So. California, so the warmth is not as much an issue for me. What I want is something to keep my fingers warm while I keep score at my brother's little league games this season. Does anyone have any ideas for how to make thinner or more pliable gloves? Thanks!

Use Simply Soft, Lustersheen, or several other lighter yarns.
Or make fingerless gloves. Several can be found here. I'd still use a lighter yarn though.

Another suggestion, might be to use baby/fingering weight yarn, sock yarn. You will need to adapt the pattern some by adding extra rows and stitches, but it shouldn't be overly hard.

Do you think that the microspun yarn that Lion makes would be good? I've been wanting to try that stuff out, and I do want something soft. Anyway, thanks for your help.
