nyc newbie & addict

hi folks. i'm new to crochet and this board. i started crocheting about a week ago and so far have made a scarf and some 'swatches' trying out stitches and different yarns, etc. i'm very wool sensitive, so one challenge is finding nice non-wool yarns to work with! i'm a grad student in nyc, and already my crochet addiction is hogging up all of my work time. ;-)

You might try using a blend, like 80% acrylic-20% wool (Wool-Ease by Lion Brand), most acrylics or maybe even cotton.
