howdy ya'll from amarillo texas. i just recently picked up my hook again - been on a 16 year vacation. my grandma taught me to do crochet basics when i was a kid. when she passed away a few months ago, i picked it up again.... it makes me think of her (and i'd swear she's guiding my hands - as i can't seem to get enough of this stuff, and dang!~i'm good :)
who knew!
anyway, i am a stay at home mom of 4 = 6,5,3,1. i have only one precious dtr (5), so she is the recipient of most my creations. being a single income family, i am not a yarn-a-holic. that's not to say i don't drool over it at the store. i purchase for specific projects as i go. i've read about the crochet along with the 63 block book - i actually have that and have made a block from it for my dtr's room. i'll have to read more and see about catching up.
okay, well, that's me. i'm excited to be here and will probably be a frequent poster :)

Welcome Rebbeca!
My mother is also a stay at home Mom. She doesn't crochet (she used to) but I find that siblings are great to unravel yarn!:b
Enjoy!

:welcome To a very nice board. If you check out the blogs, some of the ladies have information on how to unravel sweater and washing yarn and even how to reroll it into pull skeins. Lots of information on just about anything and if you find you need help this board always has someone to help you along the way. Glad to have you here. Corla:clap :cheer :wave

Hello there Rebecca, I live in Texas, but I'm not native. I'm also a stay at home mom, and I agree with Kickstart about unraveling sweaters. I do it all the time now. I have a 8 year old daughter and 4 going on 40 son!
