Hi, My name is Paula and I've just been crocheting for a few weeks. My niece and I wanted to take a class at our local Michaels, but not enough people signed up for it, so we're going it alone for now.
I was very glad to find this site and plan to spend a lot of time reading the posts. I've already asked a question on the 63 Crochet Along topic and hope it doesn't sound too "duh!"

Welcome! You will surely like this board and all the wonderful people here. It is a great place for beginners. I have been crocheting for around 33 years and still learning lots. I am sure someone will find an answer to any questions you might have. Just have fun looking around and you can learn a lot looking at all the blog sites too. I am pretty new to this board and am finding it to be one of my favorites. Glad to have you and your niece. :wave Corla from finally now sunny Waynesburg, Pa.

Hi Amber, I haven't asked my niece if I can give out her info...maybe I'll get her to stop by and introduce herself.
Thanks for all the warm welcomes from everyone. :wave

Hi Paula, <img border=0 src="http://members.aol.com/dustkittys/wave.gif" />
Glad you could join us!
I'm new as well, in fact only started crocheting about 2 weeks ago (if that!)
I took a class at my local Michaels, actually, I was the only one who signed up, but she still sat with me and taught me for 2 hours!
It was pretty nice, one-on-one attention!
Anyways, glad you found your way to Crochetville! <img border=0 src="http://members.aol.com/dustkittys/grouphug.gif" />

Welcome Paula! No question is too "duh" when you're first learning...reading and seeing are completely different, and needing explainations is completely understandable.
Welcome to Jayme too!

Hi Paula, Welcome from Newfoundland!and...... its sunny and cold here too. There is still snow left on the ground around here. Would you believe it! That's the way it is here in Newfoundland. We get lots of snow here in Winter and it usually last until about the last of April. So how would you like that? lol Take Care! :)

Hi Paula and a warm welcome from Michigan :flower You should love it here, everyone is so friendly and ready and willing to help. Come and sit and enjoy! EEK....a big black jumping spider just popped out of nowhere and started crawling across my PC screen....gotta run, I have arachnaphobia!
