Wife Swap Feb. 27th show...

Did anyone else catch this? The daughter of one of the families is sitting on the couch crocheting, they show at least two shots of her doing it, yet the announcer states she is "sitting on the couch with her knitting"...maybe I'm just too picky, but they could've at least got that right....:P

That stuff irritates me too. I mean if they didn't "know," they could have asked, just to clarify it! Had that been me I'd have been really upset!

They probably don't even know that they don't know, and/or they don't care about the distinction anyway. You and I will never mistake one for the other, but mostly the rest of the world throws making fabric with yarn using some kind of small hand-held tool(s) into the generic (to them) "knitting" category.

My boyfriend sometimes tries to guess which it is by looking at stitches, and he often gets it wrong. I love him anyway.

Yes I noticed that and I also notice the hat one little girl had on it looked liked crochet and I think a shurg. Theresa
