Jo-Ann's Clearancing out Lily Books

My local Jo-Ann's had all the Lily Sugar N Cream pattern books clearanced with the pink stickers for $2 each. I had all of them except one which I snatched up last night. Just thought I'd give the rest of you a heads up. I love the Lily books. They have such great patterns in them!

(I wonder if they are going to stop carrying them or if Lily is finally going to come out with some new books?)

Now I absolutely MUST go to JoAnns to get more yarn and some books. What kind of stuff can you make from Sugar and Cream? I've never used that brand before, though I've seen it at the store.

I love Sugar & Cream cotton yarn... it's really easy to work with. I've made wrist warmers, scarves, an afghan... I have some set some aside for a shawl pattern I'm going to make... currently making a beautiful old-fashioned looking stole... Fun Stuff!!!

Mmmm, I guess I will be trekking down to Joann's in the near future. See if their Sugar & Cream yarn is also on sale. ;)

I've made a dishcloth of out the cotton yarn. It had a great feel. I'd like to make a couple more.

You can make tons of stuff. They have patterns for everything from placemats and napkin rings to tote bags, tissue box covers and seat cushions to the regular old dishcloths. The book I got was the "Wreath" one. It's got seasonal weaths you can make. Looks like one for each major holiday. I love sugar n cream. I started making my snowflakes out of that stuff as opposed to the tiny thread and I even made a shrug from it.
