Hi, this is my first post. I stumbled upon these forums, and it seems like a really great way to share ideas.
Anyways, I designed & prototyped the polar bear (pictured below) a few months ago when my grandmother was teaching me how to crochet (I am a rookie). My free time is limited, and since I didn't find anything that jumped out to me in her large (but ancient) pattern book collection, I decided to create my own from several photos of real polar bears. This is not only my first design, but also my first crocheted item. I think it turned out ok (my grandmother liked it), but then again I think she may be biased!
I wrote down my steps along the way, in what I hope is easy to follow. It would be great if a few brave people can test out my pattern and let me know if my pattern makes sense, and if they like the final product.
I have the pattern stored in PDF format, ready to be emailed.
Thanks!
CB
It is fairly small....~9 inches in length from nose to rear. The polar bear is supposed to be resting, sprawled out on the ground on top of its legs. For some reason, this is comfortable to them in real life....
