Awesome finds at Jo-Anns

I think most of us know that they are having a 60% off all orange and yellow stickered clearance items right? Well I found a few things that didn't appear to be on clearance but were.

I got some Twister yarn on clearance for $1.20 a skein and wanted to get a girly girl purse handle and thought it would make an adorable purse for my youngest niece for Christmas. Well, there was a sign that said "All purse handles 40% off". I really didn't like any of them but happened upon a bunch of "pearl & beads" purse handles which are small and perfect for a little girl. The sign and tag said $4.99 so I was expecting to pay 40% off that. When it rang up I about fell over. It was only 80 cents! I am going back there tomorrow and buying several more. I never would have known this item was on clearance as there are no clearance stickers on it and no clearance signs there so be on the lookout!

I just wanted to point this out for those of you who are like me. You go into the store, usually only venture down the yarn and pattern aisles and check out never looking at other sections of the store and finding these great deals.

Hopefully you'll be as lucky as I was tonite...

I too saw the ad. I noticed that there was 60% off clearance items. I must go there soon. Hopefully I can find some really good stuff just like you.

joanns usually has a aisle that shows what is on clearance and you can get some awesome things there if you are there at the right timethat was a good day for you donna for sure:hug :hug

Well, the reason I posted this wasn't because of the items on clearance as most of us already know about that, it's that some other items in their regular spots without tags seem to be on clearance as well. I think everyone missed that about my first post.

My Jo-Anns has clearance stuff all over the store, not just when you walk in. They have it on the shelves, over in the corners, when you walk in, pretty much everywhere but again, I didn't post this to mention the items on clearance but to explain that items you may think are regular price may be on clearance as well.

The purse handle I got last night was in it's regular place on the rack, did not have any clearance markings on it or any other ones there and the sign simply said "40% off purse handles". What I was trying to convey is that these had to have been on clearance to ring up for 80 cents.

I was just trying to emphasize that if you look around in places you normally don't, you may find items on clearance that aren't marked and you wouldn't think normally are on clearance...

Unforunately, you have to pay attention when they ring you up-only the yellow clearnance stickers are an extra 60% off, not the pink clearance stickers-they are price as marked. And some things I got that were yellow stickered did not ring up the extra discount and I had to point it out...then she had to re-ring it all again-kind of annoying (mainly since I had 3 kids w/ me).
I've never gotten lucky enough to have things ring up cheaper than I expected but there's always a first time! I need a purse handle so maybe I'll try today ;)
And yes, I agree-they have clearance things scattered around my store so it's always a treasure hunt ;)
