View Full Version : Needing Simple Border Patterns For Babyghan

Can anyone of you hook me up with some links to patterns (borders) for babyghan? I have just a basic mitre (like picture frame) and one that is scallop patterns.
I am sooo board with these.

I want patterns that are simple enough (easy to intermediate), yet look a tad fancy.

Does anyone know of some links to some border patterns that would fit the bill?
Thanks :)

You could do a simple 5 dc shell alternating with a sc around the blanket, using (5 dc, sc, 5dc) in each corner. This would look kind of fancy, but doesn't take too long and is fairly easy to work up.

You could even snazz up the shell by working (dc, ch 1, dc, ch1, dc) for a girl's blanket.

Thanks Melissa and Busy Bee :).
I kinda had to get this ghan finished ASAP so I spun off of what you suggested Melissa on this one. Busy bee, thanks for that link to the edgings and boarders, there are some beautiful patterns there, I do appreciate the link.
Thanks to both of you.

Here is what I did on this one.
Sides--2 dc's, ch 1, 2 dc's in same space, skip 2---continue the same.
Then the corners were---3 dc's, ch 1, 3 dc's.
with the second Rnd corner being 1 sc three times accross corner evenly.

Here are the pics:

I then put crochet bow ties on each little teddy (9 of them) in this order:
green, lavender, carrot
lavender, carrot, green
carrot, green, lavender

It turned out so cute.

Thanks
