Hello All,

I am looking for a crochet pattern for a single piece afghan which has the awareness ribbon (doesn't matter which one, I'll change the color) on it. There is one on here, but it is in squares, and I am not good enough or patient enough at crocheting to do squares. I would think you could convert the square pattern to a full afghan pattern- but I do not know how.

Thanks!

Can you do a basic granny? Start there making a giant granny!!! To the size you want The awarness ribbon is Chain for so many and then either SC or DC back and fasten off fold to form your ribbon. So make your chain as long as you need to fit your afgahn and work back across with Id say DC and fasten off then form ribbon and attach to the gahn and there you have it!!!!
Just a sugestion!!

I want the ribbon to be embedded in the afghan (as in part of the pattern) not sticking out (where I have to sew it on top).

You could just graph it yourself at http://www.microrevolt.org/knitPro/

Or take this graph (http://mllorf.blogspot.com/2005/01/cancer-ribbon-afghan.html#comments) and enlarge it so the afghan is one big square.

I've found a couple sites with awareness ribbon graphs.
http://www.***********************/cancerribbon.html
This shows the row counts as you crochet. Also it has the different colors for differents causes listed. I can't seem to find the actual chart. I think that would be easier with the chart than having only the row counts to go by. But I really love the style of this ribbon.

If you know how to do intarsia/tunisian crochet this would be nice.
There are two here with hearts between the ribbons.

Another nice one for intarsia crochet.
