Looking for simple edging for wedding veil

Hello! :cheer Weeeeell, it's finally happened, my fiance proposed to me after 3 years of dating. My family all knew it would happen eventually, they all said "we knew it was coming,... but you didn't!" Funny story too... my fiance put the ring on my cats collar one night before we went to bed, in hopes I would see it. I did NOT see the ring until the next morning... luckily my cat is an in door cat, so he didn't loose his collar!! :) It was cute. Mr. Tibbs was a good ring bearer. :)

OK so on to business! I have 15 months to plan a wedding, which apparently is a loooong time. But when you are hoping to crochet trim for your own veil, it might be good to start it ASAP! :) Does any one know of a simple, elegant lacy trim for my veil? I'm a decent crocheter... I've made doilies and such, but now I'm looking for a trim. Any suggestions?

I would look for a book of crochet edgings. There are a lot to choose from. If you don't see any you like in the craft stores, ivarose.com has a lot of vintage crochet books that she sells. And she has pictures of the items on her site too, so you can look before you buy.

First of all congrats! That's so exciting!

I would go looking for some vintage crochet books - I know they're out there, lurking, because I've got several edging books. I've seen them on eBay, and occasionally run across them at tag sales or at the thrift store. There are more current ones but I have a soft spot for the vintage stuff.
