My first-ever Pineapple Rug Doily

Well after seeing Angie's beautiful rug doily I had to go and make one for myself....well actually, I gave it to my mom. This is the first ever rug doily (or rug for that matter) that I've ever made. I used regular worsted weight yarn in Red Heart 'Monet' and a size 'P' hook. It worked up really quick and is pretty thick. I used 2 strands held together instead of the 3 the pattern called. I forgot to measure mine, but it is pretty big. I guess I was in too big of a hurry to give it to my mom to see her reaction.:blush

Thanks for the replies everyone. My mom told me she wouldn't dream of putting it on the floor! :lol She draped it over the back of her couch. She said she didn't want to get it dirty! :P

I checked freepatterns.com, and don't see it there. Hmmmmm.....

so pretty! I used a coaster pattern once for a bathmat (2 strands of ww cotton and a big hook, I forget which one, N maybe?). I love how yours turned out. I think I may just have to make another one now :D
