Winter Hat with Ear-Flaps Pattern?

Does anyone have an EASY pattern for a winter hat with ear flaps? So far I have only made rugs, blankets and a poncho (that was 2 rectangles attached together...). My BF would like a hat, but I am still learning 3D forms of crochet. I can only find patterns for more advanced crochet!

I know there are others on the web.

Also, it's quite easy to take a hat without flaps and add them! Simply make the hat of your choice and when finished simply make the 2 flaps and whipstitch them to the hat and voila!

I made my brother 2 hats with flaps on them for Christmas and took that approach. Good luck! :hook
