Kitty stitch markers

Ok, so it's not crochet but you can use them when you crochet, so I hope posting these are alright. ;)

I made up some kitty cat stitch markers the other day because I needed to use up some beads. I made these with some dichroic glass beads, Swarovski crystals, Bali silver spacers, and some pewter kitty cat charms.

I made them with leverback earring hooks so they would work with either crochet hooks or smallish knitting needles. Also, if you're feeling goofy and don't mind slightly mismatched earrings they would work for that too; if nothing else it's handy for people like me that always lose things in the Black Void of Couch-Deep. (Unless you're some long lost descendant of Van Gogh or something, then I guess you're out of luck.)

Those are ADORABLE!!!! I recently made some using the lever-back earring method and they work wonderfully! I had seen an auction on eBay for a set of four for $9.99 and I thought "I can do THAT!" and I did and I'm so pleased with the result! Actually much easier to use than the little plastic split rings because you can actually 'open' them to get them off (especially hand when using a double strand or a chunky yarn) You did a great job!

Those are lovely- I've been wanting to make some of these for a while now but I didn't know what those type of earring fasteners were called so I've been searching through loads of the hook type ones on ebay trying to find the ones that close. Now I know what they're called it should make it easier to find some :xfin

Awweee, they are so cute & fun! And sound easier to use than the flimsy plastic ones I got at Wal-Mart. :) And they look like they would make cute gifts for anyone who crochets.

I've made some, each with a LETTER, for attaching to a WIP to indicate the hook size. A complete set (I do F through N) makes a great gift too!
