I'm in the process of converting a sweater from crochet to knit but also using my own design for the 'swirl' part in back.

I notice that the graphs show the connecting pieces as being kind of an odd shape but I'm not too sure what type of pattern to use to emulate what I see there, I'm thinking it might be too bulky if I did alot of bobbles and such, any ideas?

Ok, think I have it.... going to try a sc dc sc stitch to keep it from getting too puffy.

Wow Yammy, you ARE ambitious! Those irregular pieces are going to be a bear. I have seen a similar swirl design in crochet. It was actually a hexagon motif pictured in one of my stitch dictionaries. A hexagon might make your other pieces easier to design. Good luck. I've just GOT to see this when you finish it!:applause

LOL, I"ve been working on it all day, I'm not ambitious but I might be INSANE... :hook

It's coming along, it's definately an advanced pattern. Good thing I love a good challenge. I've torn it apart 5 times on one piece today already.
