I'm sure this has been asked by every crocheter out there, but I'm looking for an easy eyelash scarf pattern.

Not really a "pattern," but when I make eyelash scarves, I use a K or an N hook, make a foundation chain of 13, turn, insert hook into 3rd ch from hook, and sc or dc across. Chain 1 for sc, (3 for dc), turn, repeat. For a wider scarf, just make a longer chain. Repeat the row until it's long enough - I normally make mine about 50" long. Another nice simple one is: sc 1, ch 1, sk 1. Then in the next row, make your sc's in the space created by the ch and skipped st, ch 1 and sk 1.

Sometimes I only use the one strand of eyelash, but I prefer coupling the eyelash yarn with a strand of worsted weight. The worsted weight adds body and managability to the project, in addition to helping to use less of the more expensive eyelash yarn.

I hope this helps. Maybe you're looking for something more complicated, though?

complicated...no

I just started learning monday. I've made 2 scarves so far, 1 sux & 1 is better.

I plan on going out tomorrow to buy some lion chenille to make a warm scarf.

Since I'm new, I'd like to make sure I understand your instructions, single crochet, chain 1, skip 1 space, repeat.

Have you tried using 2 eyelashes together, for color effect? Or is that what you use the worsted for?

thanks.

I've made scarves using 3 strands of eyelash yarn (I used Lion Brand's Fun Fur in shades of blue and purple.) I've also used 2 strands of fun fur and 1 strand of Caron's Simply Soft (Not quite as thick at Red Heart Super Saver.) Using the worsted weight makes it a more substantial, heavier scarf.

There's a pic of the 3 strand scarf in my album, if you're interested.:hook

Your afgans are gorgeous, especially your scrap afgan. Is the blue one your 3 strand eyelash?

Thanks for sharing. This is great. I have a miltary-fatique yarn that I'm using and love the look.

Tiger is right! Your afghans are stunning! I found myself paging through all your pictures. I adore the scrap afghan (not the granny one, although that is pretty too). You really have an eye for putting colors together. Wow!:)

Thanks, guys. :hook The black/colored scrap is my favorite too, and so nice and warm for a nap on the couch in the afternoon.:D

Yes, the blue one is 3 strands of fun fur - I think it was something like sapphire, turquoise and purple? It looked nice together, but I can't take credit for the color selection. I think it was a suggestion on the Lion Brand site. Hang on a minute - I'll look for the pattern... Here it is. It's the TriColor Scarf (http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/cff-triColorScarf.html)on the site.
