I used Lion Brand Wool Ease. I used an L Crystallite hook - I don't know if I crochet tightly or what, but the gauge worked out perfectly that way.
I'm glad everybody likes it! I'm so happy with it! I'm on to my next from the HH book - the Baroque jacket - I'm only on row 8 and it's taken me ages already, and I definitely already made a mistake somewhere and can't quite figure out how. So I'm setting it down for now... *sigh*...I'll figure it out tomorrow.

that's really cute on you. I already made the corset belt and I was thinking about making the Baroque sweater too but I think I'll go for the little animal iPod covers next. Maybe I'll do the baroque sweater later.

I have been making swatches left and right trying to get that gauge, and I too had to use Wool Ease and an L Crystallite hook. Now I know that I am not the only one that does not crochet that loose! I have found that almost every pattern that I like in that book, (and from other patterns) my gauge is way smaller than the designers. I wasn't sure about the yarn, but after seeing yours I'm gonna go for it!:cheer

I already have two friends begging me for one of their own! That will be fun! But first, must finish my Baroque Jacket!!
It is so warm and cozy (and cute), I hope you all enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine! My students (high school seniors who are VERY particular about their fashion) love it too! Yay!
