I designed this a few months ago and Dennymare was nice enough to test it for me. But since then I made a few changes to the design. This is the results.
It is done in size 20 Opera thread Tea Rose, edged with Manuela size 20 Burgandy. I used a size 10/1.3mm hook. It measures 24 inches long by 13 1/2 inches wide. I am including shots of it on both a light back ground and a dark background.
I have actually had this close to being done for a couple weeks, but was 7 rows short of having enough thread to finish it. Teach me to try and use up an ball of thread. So I had to wait for new thread to come in and hoped it was the same dye lot. Boy I was lucky there. Anyway I finished it up this morning bright and early. Love watching the day come in while I crochet.
Of course I am anxiously awaiting your opinions.

It looks awesome as always Kathy. Wish I hadn't sent mine to my daughter now, but guess that'll give me a reason to make it again. :cheer

Is this one that you will be adding to your patterns for sale? If not, should be.

What a beautiful runner! The design is lovely and quite ingenious. You really made the non-rectangular shapes work well with the hexagonal lattice background. I can't imagine designing something this complex.

Oh, and the name is great, too. It was the name that made me click on this thread.:D

Your work is an inspiration to us all. I maybe could make the pattern with a lot of swearing and frogging and a magnifying glass! But your designing and writing...I am amazed at your talent and creativity. I want to be like you when I grow up! :D

BRAVO!!!!

Thanks everyone, I love being able to share my passion for thread with all of you. Such a pleasure to have people who really care to share it with.
From dogymom : It is so elegant!!!! Will a pattern be available, or are you going to do a filet book, too?:wink I am thinking about just offering this one on my website. Haven't decided yet. Will decide in the next couple of days.

The hexagonal lattice back ground is really just an open mesh back ground, but it does give some interesting effects on this design. The edging is really super simple to do to. I love playing with my designs to see what I can come up with. Such Fun........... :hook

Gorgeous! I've been looking for something like this for a friend who just got engaged (and who loves crochet); I'm thinking it also would look beautiful in sage green. Please let us know when the pattern is for sale.

As I've said in the past, filet is not really my "thing" because I am continually frogging but this doily takes my breath away. :nworthy

I just placed my order on your site. This doily is so differnt from anything I have made that it will make a beautiful addition to my ever growing and dwindling (give away A LOT of doilies:eek ) colletion.

You are, as stated in the past, THE MASTER!!!
