Hello all!

Started this late Thursday afternoon and finished it by Saturday night!

My hands and arms are sooo sore from all the rush work.

I will definitely NEVER do this AGAIN! (the last minute rushing part)

It's posted in my blog. (http://yarn-diva.blogspot.com)

Thanks!

Thank you!

It's an original freeform pattern and the stitch was from an Easter dress I made for the girls 3 years ago. I remembered finishing the skirt in one day (using DK cotton yarn) and I thought it would be a quick one to make the top with.

I love this color! (and so does my mother) Let's see how long this top will stay in my possession once she sees it (we're about the same size) :lol

I LOVE the color! I can't wait to see it with sleeves and all. Very nice!

Thank you! I hope to find more of this color on eBay since it's cheaper for me to get it there than through the stores.

I will have to make the sleeves from the cuff up instead of from the shoulders down and that will take a lot of shaping and calculating. I hope I have enough patience to do that. I can't wait to see the totally finished product as well!

Pretty top,Beth!

Thank you!

I enjoyed making it and it has rekindled my wanting to make more clothes for me (as opposed to buying them).

Thank you!

I think it will look better on me once I lose the baby weight I've been carrying around for awhile. :lol

But it was a joy to make it!

That is beautiful. The springy green is awesome!

Thank you!

I had to use two strands of 5/2 mercerized cotton thread to get the thickness I wanted without the bulk. One strand was Sea Green by UKI and the other was Emerald by Astra. They came in cones (thank goodness) and there is enough for the sleeves and maybe some for embellishment.

I think this Spring Green is the new Black. I see it everywhere!

Thank you!

Your summer motif top is awesome! I've been wanting to do something like that and your top is inspiring me to make something similar! :clap

Now if I can only have your body, everything will be perfect! :lol

Thank you!!

I can't wait to see the final result! It will have to be in May though, I still have the flower swap and the stole swap to finish and my right arm and hand is still tender from working so hard last week.

I used 2 strands of 5/2 yarn I got from eBay. One is Sea Green by UKI and the other is Emerald by Astra. They both came in cones :cheer and there is plenty left for the sleeves and embellishments.

This is an original freeform design with the stitch pattern based on my 2003 Easter dresses for the girls. The stitches take no time at all and you can get a lot done in one day.

I plan to make more tops. I didn't realize how addicting they are to make (and inexpensive too!)

Thank you!

I am going to finish it sometime around May. My arms and right hand is very tender still and it hurts to make it do heavy stuff. I'll post it then.

I may finish sewing dresses that I made a loong time ago since it won't require as much from my hands as crocheting does.

Mimi,

Thanks for looking! I love showing my children and my creations off at the same time!

I know I'm not supposed to, but I miss crocheting so much that I started another top last night. But I promised myself I would go slow since my hand is still tender...and I did!
