My very first show and tell! (can you guess I finally found my camera?)
I used Caron simply soft in two colors (fairly true to life in the photo): soft pink and orchid. the body of the blanket is Stitch #75 from 101 Stitches for Afghans, ASN 1228. To make the ruffled border, I used part of the instructions from the potato chip scarf on the LionBrand website, although probably I could have found basic ruffle instructions in all sorts of places.
Lesson Learned: you really do have to make one preparation round in sc before starting the ruffle pattern - I thought I could get away without "sealing" the row edges with sc, since the first round of the ruffle is in sc. Nope. meant my edges weren't as ruffled as the top and bottom are. It's about 18" by 22". fun stitch pattern; plan to do it again in blues for another niece.
