CPK Peach Dress #1 - UPDATE FINISHED

I am working on another CPK dress. This dress is also for the 12" Doll. The dress in still a work in progress. I plan on adding a couple more inches to the length and also I plan on adding sleeves. My daughter wanted a fancy dress for the doll. I didn't like any of the patterns I've seen for CPK dresses that were fancy. So I am designing my own. The skirt will have cream colored ruffles on every other row. I just discovered that I must have saved over the pattern I was creating for this dress. So I am going to try to rewrite the pattern, but I am not crossing my fingers.

The this one shows the rows where I will be attaching the cream yarn to the front loops to create the ruffle.

Anyway this is what I am currently working on.

PS. I am using some cheap, crummy garage sale yarn that is kinda fuzzy. That is the reason the yarn/picture looks so awful.

[EDIT] I am finally finished with the dress. My daughter now has a very special party dress for her doll.

Very cute. Someday I'm going to have to just make the time to make my daughter some doll clothes. You've done a great job on the dress. :U

Thank you. I do really like the way the dress has turned out and if possible I will still try to create a pattern for it. If not then I will make another dress similar to it and write that pattern down as I go, by hand and on the computer.:blush

My daughter will be happy no matter, she loves the dolls to have new clothes all the time (she is a clothes hog :pig).

Very Cute-I'd like to make some doll clothes for my girls & their CPK"babies". Unfortunately my youngest still prefers them all naked, taking off their clothes faster than I can dress them. I'll have to try once this stage passes.
