I am looking for a pattern that my mother made about thirty or so years ago. I only have a picture of what she made and I will try to post the picture here. I sure hope this works.

Ok I guess I will need to try again but you can go here to this url and see the pillows that I am talking about. they are the front and back of the pillow on a black background. You can also look at the other pictures in my album if you would like to.

I wasn't able to see anything. Do you have to sign in to see the pictures?

Is this the pillow? (http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=4313833&a=31806145&p=74154630)

I hope someone knows where to find the pattern.

I love the pink variegated double-skirted Barbie dress you made...very pretty!

I have an afghan that looks like it is made with the same principle as the pillow. It is just rows of increasing dc, with lengths of chain made at the appointed spots on the row. When you are done with the piece, you pull the chained lengths through each other (just like making a chain) for the braided effect. It would be easy to figure out if you could post a good closeup of a section or two and one of the middle.

I'm sorry, I forgot that you only had that picture, not the actual pillow to look at. I still think I could do it if you are interested.

Oh wow. Very cool pillow. I once saw a potholder made kind of like that with the chains, but never knew how to make it. Good luck.

Thank you, I sort of like that photo also. We do get snow here in Arizona at times.

Mudpie, my aunt will be sending me the pillow so I can take better pictures of it, and I might even be able to get it inside out just to see how the front is made. The back side of the pillow is not the problem for me, it is the front that has me stumped. lol

Puff, I am not at home and do not have a hook and yarn with me at work to play with. But just try this: Ch 25. dc in the 4th ch from hook, and all the way across. Ch 3, turn. Dc in the first 4 dc, *ch 10, sk 1 dc, dc in next 5 dc. Repeat from * across. Ch 3, turn. Dc in each dc across, chaining 10 over the same areas you chained 10 in the previous row. Repeat that last row for about 10 rows. Fasten off. Then, reach through a ch 10 space on the first row you did this on and pull the ch 10 from the row above through it. Keep doing this, going up the piece and you should have it. You will need to fasten these at the outer edge of the piece with a row of sc most likely. This can easily be converted to a round piece.

Oh My Goodness! Is this for the front or the back? The back is not a problem and as soon as I get the pillow from my aunt I don't think the front will be a problem either. I would have just liked to have the pattern in front of me to do it sooner than a week from now. lol

My fingers are just not cooperating today. Puff, silly me didn't notice that there were 2 photos of the pillow. What I gave you to try is for the second photo, I'm guessing that's the back. As for the front, it's just an increasing chevron "flower" crocheted into a row of a solid round back. I think that once you get the pillow you will see how easy it will be to duplicate. Keep me in mind if you need help, though. I would love to help you decipher it with the help of your photos.

Puff, this is not about the pillow but about your beautiful home site. I'm intriqued by your cabin and how it happened to be built by the shop class. Is anyone else interested to hear about this? As RVers we frequently find ourselves in surroundings such as yours and have always fantasized about having a quaint little home far from everything.
