View Full Version : Simple V-neck or deep scoop tanktop for ribbon/tape yarn?

Hi, all:

I'm clearly losing my mind (and logical search capabilities), because I can't find a simple tank top pattern for tape yarn. I have a nice pile of aqua Patons Fresco (yay, Herrschners!) but no pattern for it. It's silky to the touch but technically pretty bulky; I think it would be perfect for a plain sleeveless tank.

I'm hoping for something with a deepish V or scoop, since my minimal decolletage is still in good shape, but that's not too fitted around the body, since my waistline is not.

I am not skilled enough at wearables to try to do this without a pattern, as I am not able to eyeball the armhole shaping or figure out where to start decreasing the neck.

This should be a very, very simple pattern but I'll be darned if I can find it anywhere.

Please and thank you, please and thank you, please and thank you.

What about this one?

I found Ticker Tape on clearance at Michaels last week for $1 a skein and plan on using it for this top.

ETA: The pattern is for a size 8, but I'm going to use a larger hook to make it bigger.

Thanks! That looks doable. I think the V-stitch might be a little open for me -- I may do it in HDC or some kind of differing-row-based pattern -- but the pattern seems right, and I like the neckline.
