Hi everyone:
My mom's just moved into a seniors' home and needs a sweater quickly. I want to make her one rather than buy as I think it'll make her feel better. I've googled and notice that most patterns seem to be styled for the 17-29 year old crowd. Not to say that my mom doesn't have style but she's more of traditionalist when it comes to crochet patterns.
I've kept the following in mind while looking for a pattern:
a quick crochet item (I'm a fast crocheter and would like to have it complete in a few days)
something that is not too boring. I've started one that's essentially the same stitch and gave up from boredom after crocheting about 4" of the back
something that'll keep her warm (they've turned on the a/c in the seniors' home and she's cold)
not a pattern that calls for chunky yarn - she's 5'2" and about 100lbs. She'd be lost in a loose, bulky garment.
She's not a poncho or shawl type of person.Gee, I'm not too picky, huh! Therein lies the problem. :D
In the ideal world, the perfect pattern would meet all of the above criteria. At this point, I'd welcome all pattern ideas. Thanks everyone!
