Laces for summer skirt

I decided to make a skirt. This skirt should have consisted of several circles. But it was difficult to make equal circles because of the pattern on the fabric. I had bought too little fabric! So I knitted laces and tied them to one of the circles to make my skirt longer.
This is my skirt and part of it with the laces:

I crochetted only one cream stripe (it's rather long - about 3 metres). I thought about crochetting the red too, but I had enough fabric. I am going to crochet a red topic to wear with this skirt.

Wow, that is one VERY impressive looking skirt! This is my absolutely FAVORITE style of skirt too, and very high fashion - I see this kind in many of the clothing catalogs I get. Makes me wish I had a sewing machine again (as well as a place to put it :lol)! Yours is lovely!
