I have not forgotten I have the hook. It has been a crazy week here and I have forgotten to mail it each time I went out. I am very sorry. I WILL mail it on Monday and give the next one of us the conf number. I did manage to make a few squares though and it was a dream after I got used to the feel of it in my hands. :D

Oh my goodness, the travelling hook! I hadn't been to this forum in so long I had forgotten all about it. How long has that hook been traveling?!? I remember I was the only one or one of two who requested to have the international one sent for when I was studying in South Africa like 5 months ago! The international hook never got going, I think. I know I'm at the bottom of the list for this hook. I wonder when I will get it. :think

I received the hook and journal Friday! I don't know if I will have time this week with Christmas just around the corner to get any squares done, but will as soon as I get done with making the presents. I think I will be sleeping with Jimbo's Hook though as it feels soooooo good in my hand! I will let everyone know when I get done and the hook is on its merry way again!

Ok some of you know and some do not. When we started this to benifit a charity my dad was just recovering from some heart problems. 2 days after christmas my dad was diagnosed with congestive hear failure and ended up back in the cardiac care unit in Reading. He had 3 more stents put in and was told nothing more can be done for him. I am happy to tell you that after a sr=tressful week my dad is home again resting compfy and taking it extra easy. For some reason that sparked my fire for this project and reread the whole thread again. You all are so wonderful and I believe you will all be blessed to be a part of this hook.

Jimmie...so glad to hear your Dad is home again! I was saying prayers for the heart patients as I was crocheting every stitch of my square. I may just be able to get another one done by Monday. I hope to get the squares out to you Monday and the hook to the next recipient ASAP! I feel blessed to be able to contribute in some small way to someone's comfort who is so deserving. Here is a pic of my finished square. I just did a basic granny in cream, tan, and two shades of yellow. It won't be the prettiest, but it was made with loving thoughts and prayers for the recipient. I did a basic granny because to me the basics of anything are very comforting. Anyway here's the pic. (clickable)

Oh, what a wonderous feeling arose when I opened my front door to find a package for me... if ever so temporarily. And for about 1 minute I waited and then ripped open the box, leafed through the journal (will read completely later) and then I stared at the small narrowly wrapped package within. It announced "Hook Inside" and I almost needed a napkin, for the drool started. I've decided I want the hook when this is all over... so you all need to send it back to me, okay!!!! ;) Oh, and that's just my opinion after a 30 second feel of the actual hook. :hook I imagine it will be worse once I get working with it. I may have to send myself with the hook or implant a 'homing device', so I can fetch it once all has had their turn at this awesome wood wonder. :c9

Okay, now seriously, will the hook be auctioned off in the end? or?? :D

Yes i'm here Jimmi, thanks. I admit to being away a bit, and to being in a sort of hook whittlers funk lately.... maybe just extra hours at work and a respit after the holiday push but i haven't made a hook for about a month now.
BUT!! All these kind messages have inspired me and i'll be back at it soon.
It'll be interesting to see how the auction goes. Hope it raises a good amount for the heart fund..... a great cause.

AmyS contacted me and stated that the hook is en route once again after a minor detour! Thank God its not forever lost! So only a few more left and we will have her back here again! I wasn't able to get the hook mailed and I will definately do so tomorrow. I've been extremely nauseated along with stomach pain. I went to the hospital last Tuesday and I have gallstones.....this was quite a surprise since I had my gall bladder out 23 years ago. I've been on medication for the stones and nausea plus pain medication. I finally felt well enough to get out of bed yesterday. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow so the hook WILL be sent.
I'm sorry I slowed the process.

Due to health problems I haven't been here for awhile and while I was reading the post for Traveling Hook III I started wondering what happened to Traveling Hook I ???
