I just recently finished a blanket i was working on and now I am wanting to make one for a 14 year old girl using weight worsted yarn and cannot find a pattern that is cute and one that i like. I was thinking of something that i could make using 3 or 4 different shades of purple. If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Izzy.

Honestly, often I just do my favorite stitch (mine's hdc but use yours). I go the width I want the afghan, then do either a few rows of each color or use a skein or two before changing colors. Sometimes I throw in a varigated in the colorscheme, just for fun.

I did a ripple for one of my daughters and a v-stitch for the other daughter. Both are great and work up easily.
