I teach school and the kids are forever loosing their hats and scarves. At least this would keep the two together for them and they would either lose both... or neither.

Dot! I need your help!!! I have two boys, 4 and 6, that this would be perfect for. I am to the point of starting the hat part, and am stuck! How in the world am I supposed to corchet in the front loops after doing the back loops, but not turn??????

Can you or anyone please help?????

OK, Kelly, when you make your last stitch of the row, put your very next stitch in the front loop of that last stitch.

I think I have it figured out. I think I was doing it right, but was just unsure of myself. When it said "do not turn" I was thinking it was asking me to do like a reverse crochet!!!!! So I am just working a round on top of row 40, as if I had been doing it in a round the whole time!

Thanks so much Dot. I WAS just making it seem too hard. All of the patterns that you all share have been soooo inspiring to me lately!!!!!!! In the past few days I have made three small ponchos, two hats, and am half done with a Hascarf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
