Lilhatshack saw this pictured in my album and requested the pattern, so I thought I'd share with the rest of you too. If you leave off the straps and add a pin back, this could be worn as a pin.

Of course I was going to share photos. BUT before I do I have to tell you what she thought :)) I started the flower last night, then realized I had some large pearl beads left from a Girl Scout project. She LOVES pearls...so I left out a row and instead weaved a large pearl in the center with a lovely white ribbon, which I also used to tie on her..used an H hook so it would be small and girly. Anyway..when it was time to get dressed I told her I had something for her. I pulled it from my crochet bag and I thought her eyes were going to POP out of her head!! She said "MOM, It's JUST LIKE LIZZIE MCGUIRES". I said, "well my friend made the pattern and I thought you would like it". She asked about "my friend" and I told her a lady from my crochet group named Dot made it. She said "Well, she may not be Lizzie, but she is as cool as she is" :yay2 So, needless to say, she LOVED IT! I can't wait to make more!!!

Oh she's adorable =) You can tell she loves it! Did you know what top she was wearing and make the choker specifically to match?
I had to giggle because I so recognize those light switches and the doorknob in the background lol. You're so lucky that you get to go home soon!

She's a handful and even at 7 she is into "style". Her "dream", as she says, is to be a Trading Spaces Designer..so she says she has to start dressing like one now. I knew what she was wearing. I actually make her pick out her clothing the night before because it's such a hassle with her! :loco
speaking of doorknobs and light switches, lol
The first time we went to the US to visit, she needed to use the restroom while we were shopping at Burlington Coat Factory. She came from the stall bawling and when I asked what was wrong....she said she didn't know how to flush the toliet! It's going to be a huge adjustment for the kids! We have been overseas for 4 years..my kids are 7, 4 and 3. But, it will be fun :th I hope!
Thanks,
Donna

LOL the poor baby. I have a funny potty story too, not long after we arrived last Feb. I was using the toilet at the food court on Patch and all of a sudden the dang thing flushed itself and the little cleaner doohicky on the back popped out and to clean the seat! I about died :rotfl I have to admit though, I have gotten a bit spoiled by these clean seats and auto flush mechanisms. It's gonna be hard going home to dirty public bathrooms again lol.

Oh Dot - that is cute and just the type of thing I"ve been looking for to add to slippers! I make some slipper socks that always seem to have a small spot that needs "something" there - can't wait to try it! Dar

before i start this.... is the yarn you used ww?

January 13th, 2005, 01:10 AM
No, Rebecca, it's made with Paton's Brilliant and I guess it's probably equivalant to a sport weight. It's very hard to describe this yarn. Here's a link to see what it looks like.

Hope this helps.
