that looks like it will be a neat pattern to make.. I will have to add that to my list of things...

It's a very simple pattern, Cathey, in fact, I think it may qualify for the world's easiest pattern. :lol

Neat, Dot...but where do I put it? What category of CPC? Hats? Women's Misc. Clothing? It looks like somewhat of a hat to me...but I am by no means a Hat Queen/Expert. :wink

Hey Rachel, I'd lump it in with the hats, maybe cross it with scarves. :D! Good grief, categorizing is not that easy is it? :bang

Donna

Love it, Dot! :)h

RachelG

I think I'll put it in the hats. I'm also thinking of revamping the winter wear section so scarves are separate from mittens, etc etc. My sister's gonna love me...that means I'll need new
database categories. Maybe I'll just keep it the way it is.

This was rather simple...as far as categorizing...because I could ask the designer. You should see me scratch my head :thinking2 when I find a pattern and I don't know where to put it. (It is usually added to the Miscellaneous section in that case!)

Okay so I'm rambling. :blah :read It's one of my faults...no...quirks. :lol

I'm thinking of making this in Patons Divine, but I haven't worked with that yarn yet, do you think it will turn out okay? And secondly, I'm also thinking of designing a poncho for myself with one of these attached; is it okay with you if I attach your pattern to my pattern? I'll post the pattern here when I finish it. :thinking1

It's true! Great minds do think alike! :D! I've been wrestling with the idea :idea of the poncho with the wimple attached but I keep getting distracted and end up somewhere else. :ducky Sure, go ahead and use it. The wimple is just a crocheted tube. I'd love :pump to see your pattern when you get finished. :yes

ooooooooooooooo, i'm interested :idea
let me know when it get's done and i'll be a tester :D!

Thanks Rebeccav for the offer!! I'll take you up on that to be sure my instructions can be read and understood by people other than me!!:blush I'm going to make up a child's size 2-4 first for my toddler, then work it up in sizes from there. I'd love to have it sized all the way to a 2X. Anyway, I've got to finish one of Dot's ponytail hats for my little cousin, then a scrap poncho (another of my designs) then i can start on the wimple/poncho. But I do intend on having it done by the end of the month for my 2 yr old's birthday so it won't be too long to wait!!:bounce It's gonna be tested using RH yarns probably....lol, budget''s too tight just to "test" out a design in anything else!!:cry Oh well, I can't wait, it's gonna be so much fun!!!!!!!!!:clap

p.s. (i :)h designing!!)

Good luck, Lillian, I think the pattern is very simple and it should work up quickly. If your mom's been wanting one, she'll be thrilled that you made it for her. <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/yay.gif" /><img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/yes.gif" />

hey dot - do you happen to know the measurement of your beginning chain? i'm thinking of making one out of a bulkier yarn and larger hook.....

bythehook
December 8th, 2004, 03:31 AM
Hey Rebecca, the wimple measures 13"x15" inches, that makes the beginning chain 26". Hope this helps.
