I love that hat!! Ever since my sister showed me the butterfly stitch in a magazine, I've been wanting to try that stitch on something...anything! Your hat is very cute and I will be saving the pattern to try sometime!

Rebecca, I'm so glad you like this hat. I love butterflies too and this stitch looks just like a butterfly to me. I finished the Butterfly hat and used the hook size your recommended and it is about 19" around. I must crochet really tight. Will try it again using a bigger hook.

Such an easy stitch that makes such a big difference in the way the hat looks. :)

I'm sorry the hat was too small for you the first time! I'm starting to think I crochet too loose. Let me know how it works out for you the next time. You're right about the stitch, its very easy but makes such a statement!

Hi Dot! I made this hat for my Aunt-in-law when she was going through chemo, and she absolutely loved it and wore it all the time. It felt so good to do that one small thing for her, and have it mean so much. Your the BEST!!

I have made this hat before and it is sooooooo easy and looks very nice.
