This is my version of the Stacy top from Cool Crochet. I didn't much like the big stitches the pattern called for, and I found this very much thinner yarn that I liked, so I had to use the biggest size for the back and front, and chain 77 for the sleeves instead of 61. That's quite a few more stitches than the original, but I think it was worth it. I think I'll try the pattern again with some different yarn. :)

I'm so impressed with your Cool Crochet clothes. I've been thinking about getting this book myself. Would you recommend it to someone who's new to crochet like me?

I think the book is rather good. It looks a bit messy at first, with lots of explanations and pics, each pattern takes up several pages. But it also has drawings of the shape that each crocheted piece should have, with measurements on them, something that I could have used for one of Sys Fredens sweaters, for instance. Each stitch is also explained. You just need a little patience so the mess of information doesn't overwhelm you, then it is really quite helpful. So far my impression of it is really good.
So yeah, if Sys Fredens isn't too much for you, then Cool Crochet shouldn't be either. :)
