I did this pattern in black, http://www.crochetmagazine.com/freepat_pdf/20060605111252200607_mangomesh.pdf
had found the yarn at Walmart a few weeks back for a dollar a skein, so I just happened to have the materials at hand. I followed that pattern, though the neck opening was HUGE so I put a draw string in and it kind of made the shoulders pull up some, more like a tank top. I like it that way, alls well that ends well!

I think it's cuter the way you did it. Nice job!

I am also working on that pattern. What size did you make and is it pretty true to size?

That turned out so nice, you did a great job:cheer I'm just about to start that one too. Was it just bigger around the neck? or all over. I think I'm going to make the large. Hopefully it won't be too big.

I found it was just large through the neckline. Maybe its why the model on the pattern has her arms up, to keep it from falling down her shoulders? LOL I dont know. The only change I made was to make it a bit longer. I dont see how that could have messed with the neck though. Its very comfortable, and whipped up quickly

I've had to do that drawstring thing more than once!:lol Great way to alter a loose cuff or baggy waist too. Your Mango Mesh turned out great.:)

I really like it in the black, especially with your hair.
Good save on the drawstring in the neckline...I like the look.
I agree...that's why the model had her arms up!

That's really pretty---I like it a lot in black (you have such great skin!!). you did a *great* job.
Do you think this is a pattern that could be easily altered to a plus-size? I've been eyeing that pattern, but in the picture it looks like a skinny person tank.

It goes up to XL, I wear between a 16-18 and this is the size small width. Very odd.

I'm making mine ( I wear x-large) in WW yarn with a "J" hook, going by the "small" directions, believe me it will be PLENTY big enough. just use bigger yarn ( i think the directions call for sport weight) and bigger hook and check your gauge.

Thank you for the tips! I really appreciate it. I will have to give it a try.
