This was a very easy tank to make, but it is definitely corset style--very tight! I nearly died when I saw how the tank looked from the back (my upper arms are completely flaccid and I almost cried! That photo is going up on my refrigerator and pantry doors!! What happened to my body?). Made from Paton's Katrina (3 balls) in Ocean, a very yummy color. Thanks for looking, Patty

The tank top is super and it looks great on you!

I have flaccid, crepe-y, hairless old lady arms.
After a while you stop worrying about them.

I think the top looks great! I made the same one in a very similar color, except I used KnitPicks Merino Wool in Storm. And since it's a tank, the wool isn't even to hot to wear down here in the steamy, humid, hot deep south!

I hope you will wear that proudly!

Ya'll are very sweet! :hug You can't tell I have my stomach sucked in super tight and my shoulders thrown back so I look better?? You expected me to post the flabby-armed photo? I'd half heartedly started to exercise again until I saw that photo; then this morning, out came the exercise ball and yoga mat. I was just at the gynaecologist's last week and I've put on 10 lbs! Maybe not an enormous amount, but still, enough to worry and think about some habits I have (mmm, can you say cake and cookies???). I'm transitioning to middle age here, and it's just a bit more of a shock that I thought when I turned 40 last year (I'm 41 now). I never suspected I was this vain. :eek

My yarn stash has recently exploded off that book case and now there's a small pile in the closet next to it and a big Ziplock bag in the closet in my bedroom. Herrschner's had such a great deal on Caron SS last week (on some of the colors, anyway) that I went a little crazy. Some of it's for my mother to use when she comes for Christmas to keep her hands busy. Really, it's not all for me. Really. Honestly. Truely. What, you don't believe me??

Thanks, ladies, ya'll are the best for my ego! And I will wear it proudly to one of the dinners on my vacation cruise later this month! Patty

Okay, gals, here's a photo of me wearing the tank, and yes, that is Bermuda in the background! I think it makes me look a little short waisted, so I will add a few rows to the next one. I also think I might add a reverse sc edge to the neck and arm holes, as I think it looks a little rough (I'm sure that's my crocheting and not the pattern). My mom disagreed and thought I should leave it as is. Patty PS Photo was WAY too big, so instead, here's the link: tank (http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a383/DesertCrocheter/Clothing/IM003291.jpg) Hope that works!

Beautiful job, DesertCrocheter! Unfortunately, we need to get you to resize the photo. We don't have access to wherever it's stored to save it there.

If I saved it, I'd have to download it, resize it, store it on my web space, and link to that photo.

If you need help figuring out how to resize it, here's a link to a post with some hints (http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=41).
