A few years ago I came across a lovely baby blanket that had a star pattern that is made from joining a bunch of diamond and triangle pieces together. The blanket itself is a square, but the design is a star in the middle with 3 colors spreading out. I think it was called "diamond star heirloom quilt," but nothing turns up when I search for that.

I have a picture but I'm sure it’s copyrighted so I won’t post. The center is 6 pink diamonds joined to form a 6-point star, then around that is a ring of 12 blue diamonds, and then around that is a ring of green diamonds. Around that are white diamonds and triangles to make it into a square, and then finally a border with all the colors.

If anyone knows the name of this blanket or where I can find the pattern I would appreciate it. :bounce

I'm pretty sure I know what one you're talking about. If I'm right, it's from an old catalog (which I still have) called Yarn & Craft etc.
I did a search but can't find it online. The pattern/afghan is just called Heirloom. Searching for that brings up too many other things. You might try eBay though.
When I first got the catalog years ago, I couldn't afford the pattern. My sister in law was expecting her second baby and I wanted to make this for her. I winged it. I had a reasonable diamond pattern somewhere and followed that, halfed it for the the white fillers. Then I believe I chained a length for the outside corner, single (or double) one, maybe two row, then decreased until I had a triangle. Made four. Then edged all around.
It turned out pretty good and she loved it. I don't have a picture. I should ask my brother to take one of it. I'm sure they still have it.

No Daisy, if it's the one in my catalog, that's not it. Similar but not really. The triangles and corner pieces are solid, not done in rounds.

That's the same one Daisy posted. ;)
Maybe it could work for her.
