Someone wants me to make a blanket for them and they want me to do granny squares and the want one to have a musical note...does anyone know how I would do that or what pattern I would use?

The first thing that comes to mind is to draw one on graph paper and use the mini-grannies and two-color grannies they use for the quilt-ghans and do it yourself....I know I'm not clear here, but I can't find the link I'm looking for....

You're clear, at least to me. :)
Quilt throws:

Patchwork patterns:

They're pretty easy to figure out, it's just a lot of sewing together and ends. Some people don't like that.

Here are music note earrings. Make a single note, or double, and sew to your finished square:

These earrings are awesome. It's hard to believe that somebody was able to come up with a patten for a violin. Cool.

I made this pillow (http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/sbflyinghook/detail?.dir=/3ea6&.dnm=fbe4re2.jpg&.src=ph) with musical notes for my niece.

I did hdc instead of sc using a filet pattern from this site (http://www.spitenet.com/marich/crochet.htm)..

I did the back of the pillow in rows of hdc, & dc

You could use any of her designs similarly for a square...

I don't know about granny squares, but maybe these charts could help you.

Those are great. That would be good to put on top of a solid pillow.
:sigh I keep seeing so many neat things. I wish I had the time to do all of these!
