Can any of you remember any join-as-you-go afghan (made up of squares) patterns?

Somebody wrote and asked me for some and I couldn't think of any offhand.

Thanks!

I just posted one on my blog, I don't know if it's what you're looking for but I sure like it.

It's not squares, but the Prairie Star afghan is a join as you go.

It's a free pattern offered on Purple Kitty

Keep them coming -- I need more complete afghan patterns with squares that you can join as you go.

Thank you!!!!

The Dudessembly method I have on my free patterns page makes any square a join as you go by making it the final round. Check it out: The Crochet Dude Free Patterns (http://thecrochetdudepatterns.blogspot.com/)

I bought the Join-As-You-Go Afghans book by the Needlecraft shop. If you like mostly squareish motifs you'd probably like it. They have various techniques for the final round of joining. I'll warn you though, some are not really join-as-you-go, as you crochet blocks together into strips (instead of whipstitching) after completing each block and then crochet the strips together. It's like they somehow figure by not whipstitching it still counts as JAYO.

Almost any motif type pattern can be "join as you go". Just make one sq. to the next to last rnd, in the last rnd, add 2 or 3 [ch 2 spaces] evenly spaced along each side and an extra ch in the corners. When you make the next sq. use the last rnd to join with ch spaces. Or you can add a border of [sc, ch 2 (4?), sk 2 (3) st, sc] all around and use that as your joining.

Hope this helps. Ellie 13

I saw the one that was bought on E-bay and came up with a pattern like it, but I foregot what thread it was on. I don't know how to put it in the reply. I would like to send it to her and RachelG.
